McDonald's & Human Rights
- From the mid 1980s, Mcdonalds embarked on a 20 year legal battle, on account that the company sold unhealthy food, exploited workers and children, and damaged the environment. Even though Mcdonalds was vindicated in the courts, the case presented a serious public relations embarrassment to Human Rights.
- Mcdonald's GDP is $24.07 billion ranked 92nd biggest country GDP wise. Mcdonalds violated Chinas labor laws by underpaying part time workers. the minimum wage in china is $.97/hour for part time workers but McDonald's pays only $.52/hour.- 04/11/2007. If Mcdonald's never Violated Human Rights its Gdp would drop drastically.
